In my my last post I talked about linking your website the right way. Today I will talk about why you should deep link.
A deep link is a hyperlink that is directed to a page being one page lower from the homepage. If a website were to link to any product or service you offer, bypassing the homepage and category page, then this would be considered deep linking. You can also deep link in your own web site by linking your homepage or top level pages of individual pages deep within your website.
Search engines attach more to web sites with relevant content that is closer to the top of the website. If you link to the page from your homepage your content will move up in the top of the sites hierarchy.
Deep linking can give you a boost but it's very rare to go from zero ranking to page 1. Deep linking can also place motivating content where visitor's will may find it.
