Over the last several weeks, I have hit on several techniques which can be used to build links. We have learned that using the natural link building approach is your best option. Today, I will talk about what "not" to do when building links.
Over the years, search engines have been getting smarter and smarter. Using the old SEO strategy in trying to accumulate back links are "no longer" a good option. Search engines can hurt your site if, it sees a sudden growth in back links.
Four signs a search engine will see when crawling your site.
* Link building growth in a short period of time. Meaning, there is no explanation for this.
* Links with low quality content.
For example: Get rich quick scheme. If you were to acquire 100 links in a short period of time from these sites. The search engines may up labeling you as one of these sites.
* Selling links are a no no! If you are caught selling links, the search engines will hurt your site.
* Search engines are very smart when accumulating content. So, if they were to see anything out of the ordinary best assured, your site will lose its ranking and credibility.
Like I have said earlier. Your best approach in acquiring links is the "natural approach."
