Building a Contact List

In my last post, I talked about using your business partners for back links. Today, I will talk about building a contact list for people who don't want to ask for back links.

Building a contact list takes a little more effort then asking people for back links. This type of marketing is said to be called, "relationship marketing." Contact list marketing requires you to be a little more personal with your readers. A good approach would be, if you see something that maybe will be of interest to them. Send them the link. Maybe wish them a happy birthday or holiday. People in your contact list will generally link to your content page.

Three things you can do to start building your list.

* Contact people whom you know. You have a greater chance with people whom you know, then people you don't. People who you want to contact would be your website owners.

* Look for sites that are in the same industry as you are. Ask them if you can contact there web designer. If so, add them to your contact list.

* A great way to build a list is to find blogs that are in your niche. Blogs are great because then you have a lot of social media contact.

Always keep in mind not to spam people. You don't want to be labeled as a SPAMMER!

Building a contact list is a key to your marketing success!
